Are not these two passages linked to each other?

These two passages are written by the same Apostle John.
John was no doubt speaking of the same Jewish rulers when he penned his 1st epistle.

“They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.”

“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.”
~ 1st John 2:22-23 ~

No one is going to get a second chance at this. We’ve got to get this right NOW. Those "brood of vipers" so proudly endorsed by most all of modern “Christendom” are “antichrist”.
Let’s take it to the next level and consider what Jesus said in Revelation 2:9 & 3:9 and then yet further into chapters 17 & 18 of the same book of Revelation.
